Tough box of kokopoli opens a world of water and sports adventures

Must read

In the past 20 years or so, one of the real innovations in outdoor innovation has been to create new adventures and pack them in backpacks so that they can easily carry water sports and water sports. One of the experts in packaging design is the Kokopelli Packraft in Denver, which is introducing a new, lightweight, compact new raft. The new Rogue series of rafts will roll the size of the paper, the bicycle in the water on the handlebars, and then expand into a functional vessel that can drive lakes and rivers.

Packrafts is not a new idea, its origins can be traced back to several centuries, but they quickly exploded and become a mainstay of outdoor leisure activities. They can travel farther and more easily than other water wheels, allowing users to access roads that are difficult or even impossible to navigate. They also like to create a variety of hybrid adventure activities, such as cycling cross-country, canyoneer packrafting and ski travel packages. The Packraft paddlers can connect land and water miles to create multidisciplinary trips that may have been unimaginable before.

As rogues, Mr Koopley is seeking to further expand this destructive adventure. The Denver company has been involved in packaging for more than five years and is trying to combine lightweight structures with durability, as it has never done before. It described Rogue series the raft as “super lightweight single inflatable raft, it’s very durable, small packaging, open was the terrain and the door of the vehicle restrictions,” and added, “when your path seems to convert into water, the Rogue is like that. “The new package is designed to take care of both calm water and flowing rivers.

At first, we put the “ultra-light level” part of the Rogue series as the light of the Kokopelli raft. However, the company already has a light raft – 4.9 pounds (2.2 kilograms) of bumblebee light rafts. Kokopelli explained that although the Hornet – lite and Rogue – lite weight and expand the same size, but its Rogue package size is smaller and durability has increased, and also include improved functionality, such as four d-ring connection point (as opposed to two Hornet) and Leafield D7 charging valve.

The key to Rogue’s low weight, compressibility and durability is its Kevlar reinforced floor. And bulletproof vest is applied to super car structure, Kevlar here because of its strong weight ratio and attention, and Kokopelli also said it than 210 denier double-sided coated nylon carpet floor easier to packaging. Bumblebee – lite.

The side wall of the thief was made of 210 denier TPU coated nylon, and the double-sided tape reinforced the integrity of the ship. The individual air chamber maintains the raft and is simple and easy to inflate with the accompanying inflatable bag.

The 85-x 37in (216 x 94cm) rogue-lite is the lighter weight in the two Rogue series boxes, with an estimated weight of 4.9 pounds (2.2 kilograms). It can be rolled into 12 x 9 x 6 inches (30 x 23 x 15 cm) and can be easily placed on a backpack or strap on a bicycle handle. Four d-ring joints help to tighten the gears.

The larger 90 x 37 inches (229 x 94cm) Rogue includes a full seat with a kayaking strap and weighs 7.5 pounds (3.4 kg). It is packaged in the same compact size as rogue-lite and includes six d-rings for binding devices. Rogue-lite can carry 325 pounds (147 kilograms) of paddles and gear, while the larger Rogue upgrades weigh 400 pounds (181 kilograms).

Kokopelli is currently conducting a Kickstarter campaign to move rogue models from the ground to the water. Lowest price of Rogue – lite commitment level has already been snapped up, but the lite packing bags, inflatable cushion, air bags and the repair kits can still provide $725, estimates that the retail price of $100. Standard Rogue packaging includes packaging, inflatable seats, kayaking straps, inflatable bags, repair kits and spraydeck for $900 and is expected to retail for $150. Trading will begin in April, assuming everything goes according to plan – but so far so good, because the Kickstarter campaign in the remaining 19 days time has more than $30000 in more than 50%.
